It is difficult to know whether if you had had surgery earlier if nerve sparing would have been possible. Of course nerve sparing does not guarantee no incontinence or ED but it greatly improves the odds that the effects of surgery will be less significant in this respect. I suppose it is just something else to consider when on AS as to whether delay may result in non nerve sparing surgery. It is all a lottery.
