PSA rising to 0.4

Thanks for the info Dave. I don't begrudge the medics a holiday either. But leaving someone for 6 weeks without communication when they are very anxious is not acceptable. The "don't worry" argument is one that's very easy to make when it is not you. I can deal with anything they throw at me as long as I know what I am dealing with. When I don't - I don't cope particularly well.

Anyway - my oncologist is now going to speak with me in a few days time when hopefully I will be more informed as to my real situation. Fingers crossed it's in line with what you have said Dave. Thanks again.

Some oncos wouldn't let you have a PSA test until at least 6 months after the RT finished - a PSA result at this early stage can't tell you anything about whether the RT is successful.

You don't say whether you are on hormone therapy- if not, <0.1 may be an unrealistic expectation. You should get down below 0.1 by about the 18 month mark

The Oncologist has told me that my reading of 0.13 without hormone treatment is what they would hope for at this stage. I'm due for 3 monthly tests now - so we will see if there is any change. He told me that the treatment was successful - but that may be a little premature from what you say!
