Hey Everyone,
Hope all are well.
Just thought I'd post an update, because this site was a godsend, when I first was diagnosed. The information the chaps posted about their treatment choices, and results, good and bad helped me a lot.
As I mentioned, I opted for the Brachytherapy, mainly because of the decades of data they have had on treatments and results, as appose newer treatments.
Had the Op 2 weeks ago.
Thankfully all seemed to go as planned, I found then and now, a bit difficult to pee, when the bladders full. I have been prescribed medication, but it's not very effective. Hopefully things will improve with time.
The op lasted about 45 minutes, and no real pain, little tenderness but feel ok. With LDR Brachy there are some side effects later down the line, so i'm preparing for it.
Hopefully, i'll see what results of the scan show, when I have my MRI in a few weeks.
But so far so good :)
Either way, would like to express my Big Thanks to the Brachytherapy Team, and Care staff at Christies Hospital Manchester, they were great!
Cheers
Davey
