Weight Loss Challenge

Hi Phil,

one thing I haven’t given up on is coffee….and not decaf…I allow myself one flat white in the morning, any later and I don’t sleep! I had another bad weekend, even ate my wife’s Bread and butter pudding yesterday with some wine so I knew it was going to be bad this morning 101.3 kg😱 But it’s mainly water so hopefully will most be gone by tomorrow🤞

I try to avoid bread during the week, but had a poached egg and bacon brown roll for breakfast on Saturday and it was delicious.

my son keeps telling me Protein, Protein, Protein! This is what Herbalife is all about. Somoene who is in our Cancer Coffee club is with slimming world and he gave me a raspberry rocky road to try. I ate it this morning with my Costa Flat white and it was nice enough, but I found out it only contains 1g protein. Herbalife snack bars contain 10g. I had my shake this morning with fresh banana and frozen strawberries…nice😊 a chocolate meal bar(24g protein) and apple for lunch and I’ll have another shake for dinner with Savoury snack in between if I’m hungry.

OMG I sound like a salesman.🤣🤣🤣

My wife keeps saying “the easy part is losing it, the difficult part is keeping it off!”

im half way there to where I want to be and hopefully will be able to keep going🤞🤞

good luck and even just small changes can make a difference.

Derek

You’re doing great, Derek! It takes guts to do your journey so publicly, so hats off to you! Your son must be really chuffed that Herbalife is helping you so much. Looking forward to your next update. 👍🏻

I have finished my Degarelix 6 weeks ago and have been doing 14 hour fasting , only eating between 9:30am and 7:30pm , down from 15stone 12lb to 14stone 13lb in 3 months , I usually have one large beer about 11pm before bed .

Derek is bang on with high protein and low carbs .

That’s a great result too Mike, well done especially so soon after finishing HT👏👏👏

and a large beer before you go to bed as well, if I did that I’d be running to the loo all night🤣🤣🤣

If only I could behave myself at weekends😩. But you still need to have some fun😊

If I started eating at 9:30am, I'd be full by tea time. 😄

Quite my friend we still need to have some fun , no point being the leanest corpse in the mortuary.

I do enjoy a bottle of real ale each night sometimes with a short to sip too .

Mike .

This weeks results are in, Friday, 14th….think it should have been 13th!😩 poor results this week…..however…..yesterday I was invited to a free afternoon tea in the Balmoral (posh) hotel in Edinburgh courtesy of Oceania Cruises. Beautiful spread including free flowing Prosecco so I put the blame firmly at their door, along with Barrhead Travel for inviting my wife and I. Mind you it was scrumptious so what the hell, we all need to let our hair down at times😊

This will be my last post for a few weeks as I’m off to Fuerteventura on Wednesday for 3 weeks. This test will be  a real test…can I stay around the 100kg mark whilst consuming a few (too many!) mojitos and meals out in lovely restaurants.
lots of walking and cycling so I’ll hopefully be able to keep close to that🤞🤞 Fortunately the Etoricoxib prescribed to me by an online doctor has significantly improved my hip pain so I can do a lot more…I will need to follow this up with my GP when I get home.

Considering everything I think you did well. Have a great time away .

See me consultant tomorrow so hoping I can still go on our holiday in April.
