Hooray for Invicorp!

From what I read - 2.5mcg of Caverject rarely produces a usable erection and it would seem to be the dose that you get at first to check for any unwanted adverse reaction - I was told to use 2.5 for the first 3 times and then increase to 5 - and onward up to 7.5, 10 if needed.

I found that 5 did exactly what was needed.

If using invicorp then ignore the above - you will have a different set of instructions regarding the doses.

It says use the whole vial.. But is it OK to use slightly less in order to check for adverse reactions first?

Caverject ached so bad I never used it again.

Thanks

I use Invicorp25 which gives an erection lasting over 3 hours or anything up to that. Also I have had priapsm with Caverject.  There is actually about 30mg in the vile, I assume the 25 refers to active ingredients or something. Anyway, I normally reduce it to the 20 mark on the syringe. I told my ED nurse this and he said good idea.

Cheers

I know this might sound silly but  I was taking the needles about to show  my andrologist and whilst I had left the at one of. My. Relatives houses they threw them all. In the bin.

All The needles and bits  were still In the packs  not Opened or loose. Will they still be OK to use?

I assume in the packs they are sterile.. I just don't want to get an infection.. Or should I aquire some more.

The  fluid itself is fine I left that at home in the fridge.

Also how long will the medication last I the fridge? I've had it 3 months now and haven't used it yet as pills Working OK atm.

Thanks.

Never_Enough. If the needles are wrapped they'll be fine. I think you can keep the Invicorp in the fridge as long as the expiry date on the pack.👍

I've found if you keep too much in the fridge it makes the door stiff and hard to open. 😄

😅 Very good.

I'm nearing d day for using this now.. It's sat In the fridge for 3cmonths.

Expiry is July 10th so I assume it's fine up until that point?

Had a couple more questions.

Can I pre make the medicine all ready and then  take it out with me? Will it last a few hours outside the fridge?

This will allow me to   keep some spontaniety.

If you are going away how do you store it?

I'd like to take it away for a weekend...  Can I surround a vial in ice packs?

How soon will I know if I've misfired? I'd like to take my normal tadalafil or sildenafil if I misfire, but don't want to do that then have it suddenly kick in.

Thanks

Never_ Enough.

I'm sure if stored correctly it would still work well past its sell by date. Maybe it's like wine and would get even better. 😁

I'm afraid I can't help regarding taking it on holiday or a weekend break. However, I know people have but I'm not sure enough exactly how.

You can definitely prepare a syringe full early and leave it outside the fridge. I've done it many times. There's nothing worse than the love of your life being up for it and then you've got to spend half an hour preparing the jab. As you say it completely spoils the spontaneity. In fact, I think my missus has nodded off a couple of times, while I've been faffing about cracking phials and changing needles. 😡

Best of luck mate.

I tried Invicorp for the first time yesterday (almost exactly 6 months since my op) so was interesting to read the varied experiences on this thread. I went into the hospital where I'd had my op to get briefed on it by the Urology nurse. The result was impressive I have to say - but maybe too good. Got back home and pretty much 3 hours after injection before things started to 'calm down'. Was getting worried that I might have had to be taking a trip to A&E. Although not quite qualifying for Priapism and no pain experienced I'm wondering whether a 3-hour boner will do more harm than good? I wanted to try the injections primarily for rehab rather than sex (am single currently) having read about the blood oxygenation issue vs. VED pump - although after 6 months I wonder whether it's going to make a lot of difference. That said I have been taking Tadalifil off an on since the op (it doesn't make anything happen but I believe the theory is that PED5 inhibitors can improve blood flow to the area even without an erection) and have been using the pump more or less daily since about 8 weeks post op. Anyway have asked the question of the nurse but have often found useful stuff on this forum.

As mentioned I am 6 months post prostatectomy. It was described as an 'excellent' bilateral nerve spare. To date I have not managed any natural response 'down there' to sexual stimulation. I did seem to get a few nocturnal 'semis' every now and then but not recently. I use the pump for rehab and obtain a pretty full erection (as it's for rehab not using the ring just bringing it up and down in the pump).

Any insights / thoughts / experiences appreciated.

Thanks

Good lad Rich. I'm glad it worked. My erections last about 2 hours. From absolutely nothing to something reasonable has restored my masculinity.

Keep some sudofed handy and try walking up and down the stairs, always worked it off for me.

I've tried Viridal duo and it hasn't worked. How did you manage to get prescribed Invicorp? I've asked my urologist and my doctor, no reply.

Rich Fisher,

Yes, as francij1 has said, always keep some Sudafed capsules handy after using any of the injections (e.g. Alprostadil or Invicorp).  It is claimed to be an antidote.  I've never had to use Sudafed, so can't confirm whether it works or not.

JDHD,

I would ask your Urologist again to prescribe Invicorp.  Have you told them that the Viridal Duo didn't work?  If so, explain that the lack of erection is affecting you emotionally / making you depressed.  I understand that both drugs are 'off patent', so the difference in cost to the NHS should be negligible.  If there is some reason why they think it's unsuitable for you, they should explain that to you.

Good luck.

JedSee.

I have nasal congestion and regularly use Sudafed spray. I have ED and regularly use Invicorp. I haven't found that Sudafed effects my erections. I can breathe easily whilst having penetrative sex.

Doesn't stop it working but it does help your body get rid of a used erection 🤣🤣

Yes, I'm having problems.  Did you get sorted?

The urologist wants me to try the Viridal again, seems to think I'm injecting in the wrong place. However, I had to cancel the appointment and six weeks later I've got a telephone appointment!

Hi Alan.

The post you quoted from me was 8 months old. It was only a temporary  glitch. It was available again within a couple of weeks.

Just this week there has been another glitch in supply. I hope it's rectified very soon.

Thank you.   Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long.  👍
